tire presure afecting suspenshion?????
#1
ok i have two questions to ask about tire presure...... i was pit rideing yesterday... and it is relly ripped up because of all the machins in there.... so my shocks where bottoming out like crazy and i have ajusted them alot.... but today i was talking to a guy and he said i ad to much air in my tires..... i didnt hace a pressure gauge so i couldnt get an exact reading buti do have a bike pump with a pressure gauge on it and it was at like 10 ps1 and so i lowered all fore tires to about 3 psi ..... but would haveing the pressure to high and not alowing any space in the tires direct all the shock of bumps to the suspenshon ?????? so would softer tires make a smoother ride ????... and a nother thing will haveing ur tire on the lower tire pressure make the tires grip better in sand??????
p.s i was climbing some pretty steep hills in that pit with my 15 in second gear and it was doing great!!!!!!!!!

1) The tires will deflect off the bump and not give the suspension time to react to the bump.
2) Yes it will.
3) Much better. I run 70-80 psi in my F350 for towing on the street. I run 15 psi in my F350 for towing in the sand. I use 3 psi in my quad tires for all riding.
4) That's great to hear jetmotoracer. Sort of like a new engine with all the power you got from the jets and sprocket.
