Jetmoto Standard, Sport Hunter, UTV / ATV 250
Model; YMT-250ST-A, 2005
Engine; 253FMM85C00006
Frame; JMTA250C5000574

Here is the big problem; The rear axle is poorly designed and anything more that a light torque load on the rear axle will cause the forward gear to strip. This is a Chinese made 4 wheeler, what else can I say. This ATV works fine as long as you do not exceed a quarter throttle or try anything other that flat, smooth terrain. It has a new $350 replacement rear axle that is starting to show the same problems as the original rear axle after only an hour use. If torque limits are exceeded it may break gear teeth off the forward gear and the idler gear. Jetmoto does not guarantee their replacement parts to work and is completely ignorant of this situation so they will be of no help.

Welcome to the forum Rocket1812!

Is the 2007 model the one with the twin cylinder engine? I cant remember which year I got for my father in law...If it is the twin...then Id guess the rear end would be pretty weak...and since its a older version there would be no development on the atv to improve problems...If this is the Yamaha Bear Tracker copy...I have no idea..

Default Jetmoto stick me with a new defective $350 part

Mywifesquad

Hi, thanks for the reply about the Jetmoto Standard, Sport Hunter, UTV / ATV 250. My main complaint is how Jetmoto handled this situation. I expected there might be some problems with the Chinese ATV but I had no idea Jetmoto would stick me with a new defective $350 part. This model is a early 2005 model and yes it is a 2 cylinder. I’m told that this model has been discontented. I just want everyone know that this company does not support their products. We all know about Chinese products but the companies that sell them is the untold story.

Yep its the same one I got for my father in law...Yes it has been discontinued, sucks that new parts are junk... Always wondered how it would handle abuse...guess not so well...

Jetmoto was one of the better importers for a while...Id guess the ecomomy has hit them real hard...They used to always be looking for a better way to do things...Doesnt sem like that anymore..
