JC Penney minibikes were pretty cool. If I remember right they had a all chrome one with seat suspension. Im sure your kids memories will be just as vivid as yours..the good, bad and the ugly.

I think your doing a great job here at the forums. Your videos are very cool and its pretty easy to see all the fun you and your family have together.

Good thing you didnt get only the Red 250. You would be less than thrilled by now for sure. How have the 150's been?

The 150, now let's see!
The Red 150 has been a decent atv for the most part. I had the problems at first with the float being adjusted wrong and the gas cap rubber seal not having a hole both of which made the first couple outings a real pain. I had the front left wheel that was built skeewampus and had a slight bounce and would not hold air for long. Jet sent me a new tire when I asked for a rim. But I put some slime in it and in the dirt you don't notice the slight bounce. The Choke broke at the fender but I did not bring that up even when it was still under warranty. It still works but will not stay choked with out holding the lever up. No biggy because it does not require much choking. I have some bad rubber parts on it as all the jets. But all in all it has been a fairly descent little atv.

The Blue 150 has been a great runner even a little more powerful then the red 150. My only complaint with it has been the shifter pops out of Drive when it's under a load. I have asked both John and Eugene what can be done but have gotten no where with them. They just don't seem to care about it is the impression I get. So I have adjusted it til I'm blue and have found the only way to keep it from popping out is to have the shifter so tight it's hard to shift. I know the new 150's have a different shifter set up and I'm just guessing it's because they discovered it was not too great of a design. I asked Eugene if I could have the new shifter set up he said it will not fit mine. Not sure if that's true because I have not seen the set up close yet. The Blue 150 has been a good atv other then that. And can't explain this but the Jetmoto decals are still on and fine on the 150's but have lost most all on the 250's with the same care on all.

I wish Jetmoto would have given new decals for my 250's. They look ugly with out them and they fell off before the warranty went up. But again they just seem not to care!

see i ride the crap out of it, iv learned to ignore the stuf. iv put mine over a few times, the problem i have is that i have no back brakes, u kinda need them when taking a 60 mile an hour turn, and i ride in pits. things iv done, moved shocks to outer holes, lower tire pressure and msr bars(look sick, not real comfortable). point is i guess you have to ignore it to a point, and take the risk when you get on it something may go wrong.

Have you tried turning the choke **** while lifting it? Mine has a free spot and a stuck spot while twisting the ****.

I have no idea about the new reverse setup. I did see the one you had a recommended a rubber boot for it.

Cmon John??...Send the guy some new stickers!!

The plastic that hold the cable to the fender is broke. This happened for no real reason about the 4th month in.

We will see this year if the tighter adjusted shifter will keep it from popping out! it's almost so tight the younger boys can't shift it to easy.

4th month? that was still under warranty wasnt it?

No good having it pop out of gear...scary if your going up a hill. Id sacrifice tighter shifting to try and prevent it popping out of gear. Bummer it doesnt work like the other 150, good deal if you found a way around it.

Ya, the cable was still under warranty and so was the tranny problem. You can see it pop out of gear on one of my videos "Day out racing" when I was on the 150 racing my oldest on his Red 250. I had come to the corner closest to the camera and when I put on the power the trans popped out of drive and almost lost me the race but did manage to over take my kid on the last corner as he took it wide and I cut in tight. We have had it pop out a couple times going up a hill and it does get scary.
I would love to have some new decals. Being that I have 4 Jets (and I'm cheap) I decided I'm not going to put money into performance or esthetic parts and only try to keep them going for as long as I can. I'm fine with their over all performance, I mean I'm not out to win any races against other atvs and they look just fine stock so they are just toys to play on.

Hey outofline and MWQ,

I just took my 250 for a spin yesterday to try it out the 12 tooth does have some kick but im still trying to adjust the bike to perfect conditions. I can get it off the ground about a foot to a foot and a half. I maybe able to get higher but im still new to picking up the front wheels.

I have a question i have the Air flow screw about 1 1/2 turns out but i noticed if i give it throttle and let go of it i hear backfiring form the exhaust and its not just one or two pops there several backfiring pops. Im i running lean do i have to turn screw out a little more?? Hope you can help on this guys.

Also Outofline does your 250 chain make a sound as it turns mine has always done this when riding and at first i thought the chain need to be replaced but i already changed it and same issue just wondering if thats the way its supposed to sound?? Hope all is good on your bike Thanks

You mean popping a wheelie or jumping? Dirt or on pavement? On dirt I can not even get the front end up but can on pavement by popping the clutch. I have seen other Chinese 250's that can pop a wheelie no problem with out popping the clutch. It' all in the gearing. I still would like a 13 on my 250's. i would be worried a 12 would kill the top end?

The chain on the 250's slaps the plastic slider on the swing arm and makes an annoying noise while riding. But i can't say I have heard the chain make any real noise other then what a chain would normally make. I think the spring on the Idler could be a lot stronger and this may stop that slapping sound!? I have been thinking about going to a Honda dealer and try to find a tighter spring but that cost money and again I'm cheap so I guess I will put up with the noise!
