Default Fuel for VBikes

Have a Vbike 250T, still in the construction process...lol...only because I have been lazy...and just wondering what types of fuel others run in their chinese ATV's...esp the vbike. I thought I read through a bunch of posts saying to use premium...I bought a few gallons of 91, and have since talked to Tim at Vbike who advised against it and to use 87, because of possible gasket issues. Just looking for input from others who may have pros and cons from different octanes going through their engines.

I use 92 octane in all my off road toys...

What gasket does Tim say will fail? I have heard of him advise against 92 octane before..last time it had something to do with the carb not being able to handle the octane.

I have ran both 91 octane and 85 octane in my Vbikes for a year now and never had an issue, or noticed any performance advantages of either.

One note though, the Honda dealer in my area recommends the lower grade octane ratings for higher altitudes.

cool...
I put some 91 in this weekend and tried to fire it up and realized that my feet were getting wet...cause....the fuel line going into the engine did not have a clamp on it and it popped off...leaking fuel everywhere....damn!!!

I held it on there just to see if the bike would fire up and it almost started with the choke in full, and all of a sudden stopped turning over....all I get is a click....any ideas on what i need to do now?? Gonna try and call tim today or tomorrow after work....well see....

one of my bikes did that the solenoid took a dump, you should be able to hear if it's coming from there as it's right on top,it's under the rubber boot.
