Kazuma 110 charging problems
#1
Hello , I'm new to this forum , and I'm hoping you can help me out . I bought my daughter a Kazuma 110 mini hummer , and it runs fine when it runs .
The problem is that after running the quad for approx 20 min , it drains all the juice out of the battery , , and if she shuts it off , she can't re-start . the battery is good , because after putting it on the charger for an hour my meter is reading 12+ VDC and holding . None of the lights are left on , and I disabled ( pulled the plug on the alarm ) I have boosted the quad with a booster box , and afetr disconeecting it does stay running with NO battery , and my meter shows no voltage on the battery wires ..
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any ideas as to what might be causing this. I'm at my wits end
, and I'm ready to throw this thing off a cliff someplace .

If you boost it with the battery dead and the engines continues to run, the charging system is working. I think you should check the battery, connections at the battery, and the starter could be drawing to many amps when hot. Good luck

Start the machine up & let it run for about 10 minutes, then find the Voltage Regualtor, it is a small 2x1 rectangle box with fins on it & usually 4 wires going to it, feel this & see if its warm... if its not, you need a new one, if it is, then you have something else going on with the charging system.

I found the regulator , and it stays cold even after 20 mins of idling. Any thing special I should know about buing a new one? Can I use any old regulator from a parts store?

They have to have the same plugin to work... I would just get one from online or a local off brand ATV dealer. Here is a link to one that should be the same as yours:
