parts ?
#1
I have been doing some research for parts to make my jetmoto 200 go a little better. Has anyone noticed that all these chinise quads are made by mostly the same small group of companies. I have been buying alot of Gio parts that fit right on the Jet. I just look at all the web sites for performance parts for all different brands and buy what I need. It all seems to fit so far. just my 3 cents. Seth 03

Its more that they are all copies of the same thing...From what I have heard there are 4 engine makers in china.. 1 Company bought the rights to the engine from say Honda...The rest are copies and copies of the copies...Same thing goes for darn near every component made...all copies of something else..thats why a lot of the Chinese ATV's look the same but are different prices...usually the lower the price the lower the quality of the components used.
What hop up items have you tried Seth 03 ?

race cdi, different header and exhaust, wrapped the header in heat wrap, direct hits spark plug booster for a wicked fire at the plug. it seem I am always farting with stuff. think I will try some sprocket changes next. Seth 03

Did the race cdi give you more RPM? Higher top speed? Any pics of the header and exhaust would be cool..what size sprockets are you using now? What are you thinking of changing to? Hope you dont mind the questions.

I will try to post some pics soon. I have only had the chance to ride it in the back yard after I installed the new cdi. seem to work alot better. worth the $50 to me. I wrapped the head pipe to keep from getting burned but the benifit is a consistant temp on the exhaust . helps with exhaust flow(old school racers have done this for a long time) same sprockets so far but I use a 14,15 and 16 on my bike and each one makes the bike compleatly differant so I hope it will work for the quad. We put a hi output cdi on the Yamoto 150...quicker off the line and approx 5mph higher top speed...Wrapping the header pipe? I used to do that years ago (Ive been called old school more than a few times) There were a few people here changing the sprockets on the early 250's..most went 2 - 3 teeth smaller on the front sprocket.
