If you can get the new part for a decent price I'd say Yea..replace it, if not then take it to a shop and have them do it..dont want any mistakes with something like that!! Thx for the compliment on the pics...hope to see some of yours soon!!!

I would drill it out and re tap it for a new stud...but i haave a machine shop and it would be relatively easy...Do you know anyone who is a machinist? If he/she is any good its a easy fix...if not buy a new cylinder

HEy scootergptx I'm going to follow the rules here because this is a very cool site it has already helped me more than one time, but I was only trying to provide as many sources of info. as possible now if that is a prob. pls let me know no need to get upset I did not mean any disrespect. (AT ALL)
To be honest hawkeyerider and mywifesquad are very very very knowledgeable and I really appreciate their input. now If telling about other sources is wrong I apologize and for the multi posts I apologize about that also sincerely and it won't happen again now if you have specific sources that you like for parts, info, and help feel free and let me know, to be honest I've been to some of the other sites and they have some help but this one has been the best. Other than that how hard is it to pull the head off of my taotao 250e is it something that I can do myself or should a shop do it (keep in mind that I have no exp.) and really, thank you!!!!!!!

I'd grab the local yellow pages and look for a machine shop. Guessing it would be a whole lot cheaper, and no real down time waiting for parts.
