tommyis3 I ran accross this tonight have a look at this repair tip for the 250 quad like yours. The pins in the last picture they talk about replacing maybe the pin you found in your oil??

Take a look is a good step by step repair (with pics to boot!) for when the trans won't shift http://www.panterramotors.ca/pdf/AT2...ember%2006.pdf

Well the Jianshe motor started to have a bad knock, so it was time to put the Yamaha motor in, not all plain sailing, but it went in, had to change the stator cover, the drive shaft was a different size, so had to change the yoke, and the bolt holes on the starter bracket didnt line up, had to elongate the holes, but apart from those minor issues a real Yamaha motor goes into the frame, it now runs great.

Hey another guy on here is looking for the gear box on the left side of the engine... do you plan on parting out the old Jianshee engine?

Yup, he can take whats left of the motor, I planned on putting it on e-bay I have used the stator and stator cover, and the middle drive gear, the rest is all there, mine is a 2006 Baja Wilderness 250cc with a Jianshe motor, I think everything is good apart from the knocking on the bottom end, so the head, crankcase, gearbox, clutch should all be ok.
