After doing some research I discovered my 95 Kodiak 400 4x4 cdi box is showing obsolete on all the part websites part #4GB-85540-00-00..my question is will any others work..that part was only made for 93-95 models..a guy told me the ones off a big bear will work as long as the plugs are the same any suggestions

 

Try a Yamaha dealer. They will probably know if another CDI will fit, or there could be a "work round" fix. The CDI for the Honda 350 went obsolete about four years ago but Honda supply a different CDI along with a set of wires with plugs/sockets to convert the loom to suit the new CDI.
