Default 2004 Yamoto 250cc

Atv sat for three years before I got it. Lubed the cylinder and cleaned carb. It starts and runs at idle. When I raise throttle it cuts out at first. After I try to bring throttle up several times it all of a sudden runs great. After being shut down for a while have to repeat same. Anyone have a clue what is going on with it? Also think it has MV30 carb. anyone know where I can get parts for it.

Symptoms are rather like the choke not working. If manual, does it seem to pull out OK? If automatic, they tend to stick on choke rather than off, but I have known them fall apart inside. A slightly weak mixture may also give these symptoms, so cleaning the bowl and jets out with compressed air could help.

Sounds like a plugged pilot jet or circuit. Does using some choke help?

No using choke does not help. Only thing that helps it rev it a few times then it comes to life.

Ever heard of Seafoam? I get it at walmart.. auto parts stores have it also.. Since your quad runs sort of ok.. add 2 ozs of it to the gas tank and run it a while..it cleans out fuel systems.. Not sure what else to check since it starts easily..

Ahead of you on the S.F. And it runs normal once you throttle up a few times. Read plug after running it and it looks good.

Does this carb have a vacuum slide? or is the slide pulled by a cable? does the cable go into the top of the carb?
