Default taotao 125 no power will not pull very well

I just bought a taotao 125 for my son with forward and reverse it does not pull itself in the yard very well from a dead stop or up inclines at all without a running start on the gravel drive does great. Clutch adjustment? I know it is a (centrificial spelling) clutch but is it adjustable? My son is only about 50 pounds and was really hoping this would get him started in the atv world. Please any help would be great!

do you have that rev limiter (little screw on throttle) set to close? I found setting them to low will make the machine gutless.. Also is it new? may need to get a few hours on it to loosen things up before it will make full power.

it has maybe 30 minutes on it but if it wont pull in the grass it may not get any more time on it. right now it is set to about 1/4 throttle which will run 18 mph on the driveway which is way to fast for my son right now but even all the way out it will not go into the garage from a dead stop. It is about a 2-3 inch bump up into the garage from the gravel

I would give it some run time. New still needs to be broke in and get everything loosened up.. from what I have found 1/4 throttle on a fully broke in machine is to low

My Joyner buggy had the same issue. Threw lots of new parts to it. Mine was a bad rectifier (voltage regulator) and was not jetted correctly (too lean).

What is your location elevation?
