Default Taotao 125 brake not working so will not start.

I bought my daughter a taotao 125 and it's been running fine. Last weekend I went to start it up for her and worked fine. I slide the back around and it stalled. I went to put the brake back on and the rear light did not come on. I also noticed that when the brake is applied the neutral light goes out. So it will not start now. Checked bulb and wiring connections and all appear good. And ideas?? I know she wants to ride.

Check for a bad earth, when lights start going out because you turn something else on, it is usually an earth fault. Also check main positive wire from battery to ignition switch.

I forgot to mention the most obvious, a flat battery, otherwise it is almost certain to be the above mentioned bad connections on main wires.
