Lightbulb Input needed! Tao Tao vs. Coolster; semi-auto vs. fully-auto?

Hello people.
Need some input/suggestion here.
I'm new to Chinese quads but after some research, decided to get one for my kids to get them started. They are 7 and 11 years old. We are mostly going to be riding on sand dunes and I'm not sure which transmission option is better for this purpose : fully-auto or semi-auto? Also the model choices are: Coolster 3125c-2 OR Tao Tao Cheetah. Both seem like a nice, little 125cc bikes.

Any input or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

the semi auto will more than likely give it more torque in the lower gears for the sand. But most kids prefer the auto. I bought my little one a new taotao and got her the semi auto instead of the auto she had before. After a few rides she lost interest in it. If your going to be doing sand riding invest in a different set of rear tires. The tires that come on these machines are garbage and have no real traction.
