Taotao 125 no spark, no ac ignition voltage.
#1
I have read other forums and have tested the cdi+wiring. Have no spark. Kill switch pin has been removed from harness. With cdi removed I'm getting no ac ignition voltage on the connector while turning over. I have continuity from cdi connector to Stator connector. Tested ac voltage from Stator connector, no voltage. Does this mean the Stator is bad? I have replaced harness, cdi, stator and coil. Will give more values if needed but I'm leaning towards not having the ac voltage as the problem with no spark. These quads are giving me a headache!

Right, the stator (on most) does three things, provides AC current to the regulator for powering the battery, a separate coil (on most) provides AC power for the spark, and a small coil on the outside of the flywheel (on most) provides the trigger, or pulse signal once a rev, to tell the CDI when to make the spark. I assume you are referring to the AC power for the spark which is not happening. As it is AC, be sure you have the tester on AC, but yes if it isn't giving a voltage it is dead, remember some have two wires from them, others have one wire and the other is earthed on the stator. Put the old stator back on and see if that one makes an AC voltage on both "power" coil and a small AC voltage on the trigger coil.
