Default May need a little advice

I was given a old Chinese 110cc quad that had been sitting in the weeds for awhile. The only reason I got this quad is to help with my mechanical skills and to ride around the yard. I brought the quad home and checked to make sure it wasn't locked up and it wasn't. I checked all fluids, and put the battery on the charger and tried using the start button nothing happened. I then went to the solenoid and tried starting it that way and it slowly turned over. I left the battery on the charger a few hours and came back and it did the same thing. I took the battery off and refilled the water and tried to jump it with the truck same exact thing a very slow grunt.

That's where I'm at right now. I'm going to check the the cables to make sure they are not getting hot or warm from a bad connection. I'm going to try to turn it over without the spark plug to make sure nothing is rusted inside that's keeping it from turning over. If you have any suggestions please comment.

Update: I switched the battery out with another new one I had it sounded a little better. I left it on the charger and came back a few hours later fired right up. The ignition still didn't work so I wired a new one with a Togo switch and that worked. Now I still have to make it where it will idle without pushing the gas.
