Chain Loose in FWD Gear
#1
Got a new 420 Chain on my 125cc Auto Transmission Daymak. In neutral all good. In Forward Gear the Bottom of the Chain is Floppy, Still drives though. Chain tension in Reverse seem fine.
Any thoughts ? Thanks

Did you check the 420 chain is right for your machine? It won't sit right on the sprockets if it isn't. The "floppyness" will be transferred to the top chain when in reverse. If it isn't, either the rear axle or engine is loose, or a bearing has gone, most likely in the rear axle. On most chain drive quads the chain is adjustable by sliding the rear axle assembly backwards and forwards in the swinging arm.

Reverse and Neutral seem taut enough, Forward is Floppy at the bottom.
When i installed the chain, i kept pushed the Axle all teh way front, and adjusted back a little for tightness once chain was on.
Thx
