where to get Piston Rings 164FML
#1
Hi again,
New quad build, originally told it was a 250cc Gio Quad, after looking into the engine make/model it ahs stamped on the lower casing "164FML" which leads me to believe it is a 200CC 5 gear engine(4 Fwd - 0 - R)
Compression test with WOT showed 75psi peak
removed and did valve adjustment set to .04/.05(I think)
Compression after adjustment 126psi
From what I've found......this means it's likely getting some blow by the rings, ie it should be closer to 180psi.
So anyone know where to get parts for this engine or any details about it?
Its my winter project bike that's been a hodge podge of various different items I've collected including a rear axle from a Yamaha warrior, etc.
Any help is as always gre4atly apprecaited.

I would not be worried by a 126psi reading. Anything over 90psi that isn't smoking badly is OK as a rule. Lots of quad engines have automatic de-compressors which throw compression readings out anyway. If you must get new rings, the engine is almost certain to be a Honda clone so Honda rings may fit. There are a few on-line specialists in generic Chinese spares these days and it is worth trying them for spares too.
