2006 baja 90 automatic clutch
#1
Picked up this baja 90. Clutches seemed to maybe slip a little when we first got it. But now they are locking up and when you try and start the quad it’s trying to drive.
Changed the oil drove for a bit seemed a bit better. Changed oil again. But now it’s stuck can’t push it backwards or start it.
Is there a way to adjust or free them? Or do we need new clutches?

I have a feeling there are several different Baja 90s but all will have a centrifugal clutch so I would take a look at it. If it has a Minarelli 2 stroke engine, it is in the belt box, and the variator pulleys and belt should be checked as well. If the engine is a Honda Cub clone, the centrifugal clutch will be behind the RH engine cover.

There are a few GY6 engined 4 strokes but most 90cc Chinese 4 strokes have a copy of the Honda 90cc engine. However, the auto version of this seems a bit of a mystery, very little information on the net, as to how the auto gearbox works. It will have a centrifugal clutch, and that is the most likely cause of your problem. All you can do is take a look.
