Default 2006 Baja 90 trouble

Hi guys......I bought my son a baja 90 in 2006 and it has worked real well for him! I was thinking of selling it but its making a seemingly drive train noise now and I never sell anything not working. I was sure it was the chain and sprockets because the front sprocket was toast but after replacing them, same thing.
When you start moving , it starts to make a clank, clank, clank that speeds up as you speed up. It sounds like it's coming from the wheels (when I lean over as I drive) but I checked the front wheels and even changed the bearings....no good. I'm going to disconnect the drive chain and rev the engine to hopefully eliminate the rear axle. I'm thinking it's from the clutch or transmission, something inside the covers. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Thanks...

It's automatic....no shifting.

Well we could guess all day long. Better take the clutch cover off and see what's going on.
Let us know what you see that could be making the noise. Check to see if the clutch nut(s) have come loose, etc.
We'll go from there.
The CVT's are easy with parts galore.

Thanks for posting LT80...... which side is the clutch on? I was going to crack open both sides ,but will start with the clutch side i guess.

I've never had to work on this bike before, just chain and sprockets. It's been pretty solid!
Here is a few pictures of both sides.....

thanks

OK, it's not a CVT like I was thinking.
I'm not much help on this one.
Try posting in the china section. It may get more views.
