Default Chinese 250 quad question

Hey peeps, wondering if you can help, I'm thinking i made a mistake buying this quad but i got it for real cheap, who ever i bought this from thought they could put a plow and a winch on it and messed up the wiring really bad, I'm having a hard time finding this part which i believe is a CDI but if you notice it is a 4 pin which is impossible to find I will post pics, I am at my wits end and thinking of dumping it at a scrap yard

First find out if it really is a CDI by checking wiring colours, one will go to the trigger coil on the flywheel, one to the ignition coil, one to earth, and one to the live from ignition switch. If it is a DC CDI, any four wire CDI would work, provided you wire it up correctly. However a quick Google shows only 7 wire CDIs for Jianshes, so that "black box" may not be a CDI at all.

My point was, does one colour go to the trigger coil, is another the earth, does another go to the ignition coil, and does the other wire go to the ignition or kill switch? If yes to all these questions then it is a 4 wire CDI and any old 4 wire CDI should make it run. The only exception is if it is wired like a pre EFI car, then that black box is an ignitor. Best way to tell that is by checking if the ignition coil is being fed 12v pos direct from the ignition switch. If it is, the ignition system is not CDI at all.

That is the controller for the automatic choke. I bet the yellow wire goes to a two wire connector that has the yellow wire and a black wire. Assuming you don't have the OEM carburetor it's 100% not needed for the quad to operate properly. What's the main issue, no spark, no start?
