Default Eton Viper 70 electrical

New to the group here. I have an Eton viper 70 that keeps burning the fuse on the positive lead right off the battery. This ONLY occurs when I turn the key on. Any ideas? I went through pages of threads and at one point found someone with a similar issue. Someone suggested he unplug everything replace the fuse and start plugging things back in to narrow the issue down to a single component. I tried this and started with the ignition. I plugged it in turned the key and it melted the fuse right away. So I'm assuming something is wrong with the ignition but it's brand new. It does have spark and I have had it kick over for a short time but that was bypassing the ignition switch. Ive checked everywhere for lose grounds and didnt find any. I also tested the kill switch controls and it was fine. Also I find this odd but the wheeler doesn't have a starter relay. Is that normal does it have to have one. The starter has a plug on it that feeds into the harness. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ETons are different, if you bought a standard ignition switch it won't work on an ETon. However you would also have to wire it up wrong to make it blow fuses. Most modern cars don't have a starer relay so I guess it is possible your bike doesn't. However I would be a bit surprised, trace the lead from the start button and I think you will find one somewhere. On small bikes it is often a black box relay, as used in modern cars for light circuits etc.

Yea I found another log where somebody said the same thing about Eton. The ignition switch came with a plug that matched the plug on the harness so I didn't have to wire anything. I ordered OEM from ebay last night. As far as the starter relay I was looking for the circular style with the two posts on top. This wheeler does in fact have the black box style. Thanks for the help and hopefully the new ignition switch fixes the fuse issue.
