Default 1968 Mercury Cougar

I took my driver's test in this car when I was 16 years old, I'm now 57.
My Mom bought this car new and gave it to me 2 1/2 years ago.

Good looking all original car in very good shape looks like. Even the wheel covers look original. Girl friend of my future wife(at that time) had a pretty green 69 Cougar.Wish I had kept some of my old cars that I went through in my youth. So does my son as he still keeps giving me flack about it..

the odometer goes to 99,999
It reads 36,395
Since it was my Mom's daily driver until 5 years ago I would guess the odometer has rolled over at least once, maybe twice.

The engine was rebuilt in the summer of 2013, the transmission was rebuilt the year before that.

I had it reupholstered in 1979 - original colors and style.

It was repainted in 1995 - needs a new paint job now due to spider web cracks in paint.

That's awesome you've got such a long history with the car. Love the color.
