Mudd & Pull Contest
#1
There is a mudd and pull contest this weekend 8/10/03 in Minong Wis. just off hwy 53. Wish you guys could be here for it. Several hundred people show up for it every yr. I've gone to it the last 4 yrs. If you don't get there early you can end up walking almost a mile dew to parking and all the people that show up.

I was there. What happened to the pull? Not to many people there this year. It just gave me a better chance
to win in the mud, well almost win anyways. I'll take my second place. I had fun, thats all that matters.

Ya I know. It was kinda a bummer. Only one dealer showed up-No sweet corn--No turky legs; & next to no people. I asked the guy writing the times down why no pull and he said lack of people to work. Kinda sounds like internal problem. If you got 2nd. you musta been the guy on the 650 Praire. Honda got 1st. and 3rd. Times were real close.

I took second in the 301-400 class on my wifes 400 scrambler. My brother in law took the 501-up class on his green 650 Praire. He won it last year also. They gave out $16 for his first place. I got $7 for my 2nd place. We had 4 of us in our group. Me on the 400 scrambler, brother in law on his green Praire 650
his 2 cousins one on a red 650 Praire that rolled over at the end of the pit (not the one with the flames and snorkels) and the little kid on the Green 600 grizzly. He made the full run but not fast enough. He was the last one to run for the $50 his popped out of gear right off the line, they let him back up and try again. The guy on the red praire with flames and the snorkles won the $50. He beat my brother in law by 3 tenths of a second. That was close. My wife wants to do it next year.

I thought the Honda @24.2seconds was first than a P650 @ 24.3 than another Honda @ 24.6 seconds. Any way those were the fastest times I heard. this was for the individual runs. I did not stay for the last supposed to be over all winner of all classes run. Always possible I'm wrong but thats what I heard the guy say taking the times. Glad you had fun anyway. I saw 2 flip over both 650P.
