Went to Little Sahara on Sunday. Got there about 9:00 AM. The wind was perfect, smoothing the sand and forming good sharp edges. You could ride the ridges and bowls without having to cross a lot of rough ruts. There was not hardly anyone there. The campground was only about a third full. Didn't get hot until about 2:00.
Had about as much fun as riding Glamis
See all Sat. at Purcell.

Somethign very interesting came in my Mail box...
Bobman,
My name is James Hale and I'm a City Councilman in Seminole, Ok. I just found your information on the internet tonight and wanted to inform you (and your members) of some exciting news.
I, and some other City Councilmen, along with MANY local and state supporters, are lobbying to get ATV Trails allowed at Sportsman Lake.
Many of the local ATV riders have organized a meeting to be held tonight (Monday 6-14-04) at 7:00 pm at the National Coon Hunters Association Building. The Coon Hunters Building is located in the main camping area (Cove 3) of Sportsman Lake, across the street from the Lake Ranger's house.
Sorry for the short notice, but as I mentioned, I just found your information tonight.
The ATV riders are forming an ATV "Club" or "Organization" that will carry one united voice to support and represent the ATVers in Seminole County, as well as the entire state of Oklahoma.
I hope you and your organization will plan to attend this meeting. Your support will benefit all ATVers.
Feel free to bring as many members, representatives and supporters as you like. This meeting will affect, not only Seminole County, but ATVing across the state as a whole.
Please feel free to contact me for more information at:
cell phone: (405) 245-3553
Business phone: (405) 382-3202
Sincerely,
City Councilman James Hale
PS - This issue will come before the Seminole City Council for an approval/disapproval vote in the very near future. Please make plans to attend in support of ATVing and your right to ride (Time and place of the vote to be announced soon).

Well my ride on sunday at the south canadian river was not as good as yours bob. I dont know how the river at purcell could have been lower than where i rode. We could only go about 3/4 mile one way and about 500ft another. Should have went to purcell. Its the same distance to purcell as it is to rivermist.Me and my wife will be under the bridge close to 1pm on saturday. I hope some of you guy's and gals can make it early to ride.Brent

Brent,
The crossings at Purcell are much flatter than those at River Mist, flatter and wider I guess. I only got up to my floorboards once. BUT, I didn't go really far down river, we rode the trails as much as the river.
Bob
Oh yeah...we did a LOT of Brent Style riding...Hahahah We were out there a little over 2 hours and only put like 12 miles on the quads.
