I am not sure about if or how long I'll be riding Monday. Let me do some figuring as I will have the kiddos (They can't go very far without crossing water over their quads & 3 on the Grizzly is a bit too quaint).

Question:
Does "everyone" have to replace the brakes on their quad every six months, or is it just me?

The front brakes on my quad went south on me last week. Upon further investigation, the pads were completely gone. I checked the rear brakes and found the same thing.

Now, my quad is only six months old and has 1025 miles on it. Is this normal? The dealership says it's because I ride in sand and water. Do you guys who ride the river alot have the same problem?

James, Yes river water/sand will eat your brakes up fast. I had to change my fronts @ about 1000 miles also. your back break wil go faster.

If the river is up i will not be riding at all. But I doubt it will rain very much and most of the rain will soak up.

OK, I've made it back from the other side. The wife has had a great weekend, is grateful & I've been given the green light to ride monday.

It looks like the rain has, so far, held off so's we can ride tomorrow. So, I'll be there. Who else is coming and at what time? Is 10:00 am good or should we move it to a later time like 12:00 am?

I plan to try to get there around 9:00 or 9:30 and try to get a head start on everyone and just ride down river. I will probably stop and take a nap under the railroad tressle and read my new copy of "Redneck World" as I sip an RC and eat a moon pie. I will see you guys at the railroad bridge...or unless you find me broken down halfway there.
