HOWDYYYY!!!!
I am still alive and kicking (kind of) . I have been landscaping, pouring concrete, setting up the pool, hanging with the little meatheads, and the last two days.... my body has been rejecting nutrition and immediately sending it to the evacuation porthole . Also, my days off have changed as well as my alternating Saturdays & I've been trying to get used to that. To top it all off, the carb on the Grizzly has also been rejecting nutrition and sending IT immediately to the evacuation porthole as well . Other than that, I've been doing alright. I have found plenty of time as of late to catch up on some reading in the restroom & feel smarter every hour or so.

So, did you guys ride Honobia this weekend? If so, how was it? I almost went down there but found myself closer to a trail further north called Wolfpen Gap. It wasn't planned at all - the wife and I just happened to end up there by a series of unique circumstances.
You guys are gonna LOVE Wolfpen. That place is pretty awesome, but don't rely on the maps they give you; you'll have to ride the area to find your way. The maps just leave you scratching your head.
For those of you who have the option, set your suspension for a soft ride. The terrain is very rocky (not near as bad as Camp Gruber though) but sometimes it gets pretty rough. Alot of it is smooth riding, but be prepared for some rough "areas" as you ride through.
The trails aren't very well marked; although I think they were at one time. There are some signs here and there, but many have either been vandalized or down right stolen/removed/misplaced, as some joker's idea to confuse folks - which really sucks. I can't believe the stupidity of some people.
Anyway, I managed to find my way around the park (with a little help from some locals) and finally met up with some folks who had been there before, but STILL weren't exactly oriented. Between them and I, we finally got a handle on where we were and how to get around the trails. We had a great time hanging out together and I got some great pictures. When I get them developed, I'll need one of you guys to help me get them posted on here so everyone can see how awesome this place is.
The folks I met were two groups - one was from Houston Tx and the other was from Memphis, TN and they were staying there for the WHOLE WEEK!!! WOW!! Talk about committed to ATVing.
Wolfpen Gap has approx. 41 miles of trails; I rode for 38 - but some of those miles were backtracking trails I had already ridden - which means I MUST go back and ride the rest of them.
If anyone needs any more info, just let me know.

James...
Scheduling issues prevented the SE OK ride this week but we are going to try to get another one going real soon. I am really hesitant to post when and where we would ride down there because I think the rangers may be watching this forum...paranoid???? who me??? Uhhh well okay kinda sorta maybe...but I tell you those black helicopters ARE real no matter what Maury Povich says...errrr anyway...we may or may not be riding in a certain unspecified geographic region of the state on or about any specific on general dates.

Mike,
Wolfpen Gap is located just outside Mena, Arkansas near the southeastern Oklahoma border. You can check out the camp info and trail map at http://www.wolfpenatv.com/MainPage.html
Be aware though that Mena (and the surrounding counties) are DRY counties and sell no alcohol at all. I didn't know this when I arrived and ended up driving back to Oklahoma to the nearest store to purchase some of the frothy liquid. The closest store was 39 miles away!!!
Bob,
You're a riot.
