Brent,
The boys from Forth Worth decided to go to Little Sahara this weekend instead of coming to my house. My wife is glad. We are going to the dunes with them. If any one is up there stop by and have a cold one. We will be drinking Texas brew. Just look forl the buggy with the green light on top..

Hey Yall...
Well Keith and I are still in Colorado. Today we just finished riding the St. Elmo/Tincup/Pitkin loop...errr but not in that order haha. We had a pretty good ride today I think it ended up about 54 miles or so. For the second time we got caught in a hail storm on the mountain and rode down at speeds a lot faster than we would normally do so. We rode over near the Alpine Loop earlier this week but weather and other circumstances kept us from getting to "Engineer Pass" We did get to ride Imogene Pass and Yankee Basin (again caught in a hail storm at like 10,000 feet). By the way, in case the tourist brochures don't tell you...IT RAINS EVERYDAY 24/7 IN COLORADO. The state flower should be mildew and the state bird should be a pellican.

Hey Bob,
Last year we stayed a month at Buena Vista from July 15 to Aug 15. It rained every day for the first two weeks, but was dry in Aug. Sounds like it stayed around a little later this year. The summer heat causes the afternoon storms. Maybe a little hotter this year. It hailed on us three different times too. We just rode with rain gear. Good thing, NO DUST, like in the desert.
Hope you enjoyed the Tin Cup area? We rode 8 different days out of St. Elmo. Great ATV area. A little rough for motorcycles though.
You didnt miss much by not getting to ride Engineers Pass. It is great scenery, but just an easy jeep road.
Now I am missing the mountains.
Hope you had a good trip home

Charlie,
We had a great trip home, it rained on us most of the way but it wasnt too bad in the truck. We got to do some fishing as well so that was a serious bonus. We met some people from Talequah who were staying at Tincup.
I liked the Buena Vista area better and Keith preferred the Ouray/Silverton area so we each found a place that we liked. Did you by any chance make it over to Mesa Verde and see the Cliff Dwellings? Those were pretty neat in their own right.

Hey guys, been a while since I have posted but i'm back and hopefully can make a ride or 2 and meet some of you guys. I sold my atc 250r and now own an 01 400ex that is bone stock. The R liked to go to fast to ride with my son on his 80 so she had to go, but I do plan on owning another one in the future. The 400ex is awsome, handles great and the only minor mods I have done is install some renthal bars and some stainless air scoops. I will post some pictures later tonight when I get home.....Chris
