Hatfield/McCoy area needing help?
I understand by CNN news accounts that Mingo country/Mattawan area was hard hit with rain caused mudslides in recent days. The descriptions sound pretty bad, and I expect the trail system has been damaged extensively....
Is there anyone here on the forums that has first hand knowledge, and can put us in touch with local authorities to see if there is anything we can do to help get them back online and support the local communities?
I think it is times like these that ATV enthusiasts can help change the image of our sport by helping out... I challenge everyone to do what they can...
Any local info on who to contact, where to send relief etc would be appreciated.... I have a chain saw, a 4x4 and some time that I can give up on weekends... just let me know when and where to show up...
Dragginbutt...

You can give these folks a call.......
1-800-592-2217 That's the HM admin office number.
They may be able to tell you something. I live a few counties away in Tazewell Co. VA. We've really been slammed by rain almost every night for weeks now. I talked to the guy at Pinnacle Creek ATV Campground today, but he didn't say anything about trail problems from water.
Keeps this up, we'll need pontoons on the ATV's............
It's very nice of you to offer to help out. That's a good gesture from the ATV community.
