Default Topeka Area Riders: New Group

I built a webpage, inviting Topeka Kansas area riders to join up, to maybe find some riding buddies, and make some local friends. I looked everywhere I could think of, and found no such group for our immediate area. We dont have our own riding area, there are no dues to pay, no meetings to attend or paperwork to fill out. All you have to do is email me, and I will put you on the mailing list and we will see if anyone is out there who needs friends to ride with. Scott
The website is : http://www.geocities.com/arcticranch..._homepage.html

arcticrancher... have you made it over to our new club Kansas City Off Road Riders?
www.kcorr.com
i think we are really what you are looking for in a club, and we'd love to have you join us and help us continue to get things going. We will quite possibly be helping take care of Perry Lake riding area as well as help establish a new area here in Kansas City.

Hey thanks for the post and the link to your website. We have ridden at Perry several times. We plan to sign up with KATVA later this spring and have ridden a couple times with some great folks over by wamego. We are just kind of getting started as a family, spending the bucks to get equipped and all that. Just got a decent trailer and looking at a small motorhome to pull it around with when we want to camp too. For some reason, there doesnt seem to be a group in topeka, so I was just hoping to round up some people nearby with common interests. Friendly folks a little further from home are nice too.

I am a park ranger for the COE at Perry. We have made some changes to the area which includes new regulations which will hopefully make your experience at our trails safer. Please read the rules at the trail head before you head out. In addition, we are closing the trail when we have high water saturation in the soil. This closing policy has been implemented to reduce rutting and erosion. Please check our website's daily lake information (http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/pe) or call our office number (785) 597-5144 and listen to our general lake information message.

*On Sat. May 10th we will be holding a trail work day. We are planning on working on trails and perimeter fencing. If you are interested in volunteering, please call our office to sign up. We will plan on starting in the a.m. and then when we are done the trails will be opened to riding. The more volunteers the faster the trails will open. Be safe out there!
