If you want to go just a little wider, 3" in rear and 2" up front, try ITP rims (wider than stock and a greater offset) and some Holeshot tires.
If you want a full 4" (might be to wide for trail riding??), see www.sand-sport.com These are nice aluminum units. I had a set of Durablues once on the Blaster, and hated them!

rippin-You have 300EX posts all over the place!! Never have had any problems with rims/tires causing stress.
In another post you asked about the stability of the 300. This is a place where the 300 NEEDS HELP! The rounded baloony stock tires make the bike tippy. Putting on some new rims and (square/wider) tires will make the bike wider and get rid of the round tires. Both will help stability!!!
