I've heard that there bad service and it taks forever for them to get it to you? ALso how well are thes tires, what ply rating are they, are they worth getting?

Lovinhonda:
The Titan 489's come stock in a 25x10x12 on AC 500's. That's what I've still got on my 'Cat. They have been a good tire, but the biggest drawback I have found is that they are only a 2-ply rated tire. I got my first flat over the Memorial Day weekend up at our property. After checking the tire thoroughly, I couldn't find anything that would have punctured it, or caused it to go flat. I ended up putting in a bottle of slime, and it's been doing just fine since then. I have since ordered the Tire X-Tend from Cabela's (same as slime, only $19.99 for 4 tubes which will do one atv) to fill the other three of my tires, and fill the tires on my dad's 'Cat as well. As soon as I get some money, I'll probably end up getting a new set of larger tires, maybe bugs, or something similar. I want a little extra height, without too much added weight.

Hope this helps.

Mike

I like the 489's. As Cowboy said they are only a 2 ply rating, but I haven't had a flat yet. They track very well on the trails and are descent in the mud. They are also good in snow thanks to the smaller less ballooned out tire, and they can dig very well in it. They are a good all around tire and I would recommend them to anyone looking for some.

They are great tires with a great tread design but as the other fellows have told you they are only 2 ply, but I haven't had any flats with yet have you considered the 589's?

You might look at a Bi-Claw. They have the size I think, and if they are anything close to the 27" magnum, they are thick. Only 4 ply, but by looking at the insides of my 27", I don't see how you could puncture it very easily. The lugs on the smaller sizes aren't as tall, but will still do good in mud, and will ride ok. 489's are an excellent tire though. In my mind, the best stock tire available. The good year trackers look like good stockers too. I wouldn't own anything with Dunlop on it, unless it was a golf ball that I found though.

I've got 4 Titan 489's 25 10x12 in alabama that I will sell you for $100.00 + shipping, great shape only 117 miles on them. I took them off when I got my 27" buggs
