Default kenda klaws or knarlys

I bought my kenda Klaws ( XC-6ply ) about 6-8 months ago had them on my Z400 and transferred them to my YFZ when i bought it and put tons of hours on them and they still look like new and i would suggest them over the Knarly's .. they can be reversed for better hookup on different terrain..

Glad to hear you are having good results with the klaws but can you tell us why you suggest them over the knarlys?

I had also noticed something in a recent atv sport article that I have been thinking of doing. One of the quads they were showing (sorry but dont remember which one but think it was a yami) had the knarly with custom grooving. Just the center of the lugs was cut out, and I was wondering if anyone has tried this etc?

nope i have not done it. What would be the advantages of cutting the center of the lugs out?

Most times people groove the tires for traction, either more or less etc.

The knarly is made with a pretty stiff rubber which is why it wears so well etc but it also affects traction as the rubber doesnt flex as much as one made from a softer compound rubber. So was thinking that if the center of the lug was cut out to be hollow it woud grip better etc.

Rockymountain is only cheap on the selling price, but after you add in the extra $$$ added to shipping plus normal shipping to the east coast there no bargain.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Check the back of a ragazine usually you can find decent prices in each part of the country.

I need to get some new tires for the Blaze, the darn thing is setup like a 4x4 at the moment and it is embarrassing on an MX track, I'll probly get some Kendas because I've heard so many good things about them.
