Default Snow Tires For Raptor660R??

Just wondering what would be a good snow tire to go with.

Friend just got Pure Sport Realtors on the back, and they are pretty good. Any other tire compare or out preform them in the snow. Would Holeshots XCRs be a good tire to go with out back?

PLY is the thickness of the rubber. 2 ply, 4ply, 6 ply. Obviously the thicker the better they will be as far as puncture resistance goes, but it also makes them heavier. I bought some ITP Blackwaters(20x12x9's) for my Raptor for the snow. Haven't tried them in any snow because we haven't had any yet...lol Hopefully soon....

hdman, how do the BW's perform on your Raptor for regular riding (without snow)? I put a set on my predator a while back to switch back and forth between a set of Razr's and liked them so much, I keep the BW's on all the time. Haven't heard about how they work on Raptor's vs. stock tires, but it is like night and day on the Predator.

Mega traction!! That sums it up! To much I would say. I've only run them for about 6 hours one day, mostly trails and hills in the timber. They did VERY well. Like I said, the grab big time. I could notice a tiny loss of power do to that, but no big deal. I'm just waiting to get about 6-8 inches of snow to test them out.

So how are the BWs that you've had some time with them. I took my Prairie out to a sledding hill today to pull the kids around. Stock tires did not cut it, there were 2 wheel drives like raptors and a 3 wheeler they all had wider flatter profile rears than the stock dunflops on my prairie. They could go though the deeper snow were I kept getting stock. I had to stick to the areas that were packed down or where the snow was only 18 inches or so the deeper areas where the snow was blowing, I would just get high centered on the skid plates. I am going to get something wider and taller and run them at 2 or 3 pounds to see if that will help spread the weight and stay on top like the sport bikes were doing. Still had fun used 4x4 and pulled the kids straight up the front of the hill and around on the packed areas. I'm thinking bear claws or dirt devils 27 inchers but I was also considering the black water XTs. But after today I know I won't try ridding trails in the snow until I get something better than the stock junk.

for a 2wheel drive sport quad the best tires for snow have to be the realtors. holeshots suck in the snow... the next choice would be mud sharks just like BW but cheaper. and for snow only the 4snows but any bar type tire works good

My friend got Realtors for his 04' Raptor LE. They worked pretty good. I decided to go with Mudlites, as an all around trail tire. We have not had any snow to try them in yet. Can't wait. Got the Mudlites for X-mas 22x11x10 and got them mounted on a pair of ITP C10 rims. The rims are hot.
