Rubber boot on rear caliper slide pin how do I put it on?

Rubber boot on rear caliper slide pin how do I put it on?
I was cleaning my rear calipers up and I took the slide pin out and I ripped the rubber boot. I ordered new boots but I want to know when I get them how do I install them? I have a service manual but it does not say how, it only says to replace them if they are ripped. Thanks

I don't know about the Z400 but on my 99 Sportsman 500 u just slip the little rubber boots over the ridge at the end of the pin. The first time I did mine I was concerned that it would be difficult but it really was fairly ez. I lightly greased the pins also.
