Carlisle Badlands XTR Radials (or) ITP Holeshot ATR's? for my P700?

Decisions decisions, What do you guys think?

I will probably mount them on OEM rims to keep the weight down. The OEM's aren't great, but they are lighter than anything else I can find - even aluminum C-Series, or Douglas. Plus I don't want a non-OEM offset. Can't afford my quad to be any wider than it already is.

As far as riding > mostly trails with hardpack, rocks, sand, and light mud / water. Snow 4-6" deep in the winter months. I run a 54" plow in the winter.

Which tire will work better at speed on asphalt? I sometimes ride roads in the U.P. as they allow it to get from town to town.

I can't argue with ITP's success and experience. On the other hand, I think Carlisle owns ITP??

The Badlands XTR's are much lighter than the ATR's, and I like the tread design better...

totals - 8 lb less for Fronts, - 6 lb less for Rears

Front 205/80R12 15# $50.35 (4 Ply, not 6 Ply)

Rear 255/65R12 20# $53.73 (6 Ply)

I have badlands. They hook up well. But im ready for ITP. My buddy hooked me up with the Badlands (he works at a tire shop) and he ran them too. Then he got ITP's and they hook up like you would not beleave. I'm not to impressed with how fast my Badlands are wearing either...They are going down pretty fast.....It prolly doesn't help when i do brake stands in the driveway though either.

2Fast4U, were those the radial version of each tire?

What surface were you having "hook-up" dificulty on with the Caslysle's that the ITP Holeshot ATR was better with?

Gotta watch those brake stands in the driveway

I would go with the ATR's if your going to plow snow. Last winter I could almost do wheelies on the hard snow they hooked up so well. If your were going for the really deep snow there are better tires but not for plowing. They are great on hard trails, as good as any I have ran on pavement(seem to hold up OK) and great tracon when rock crawling. Just don't get too carried away in the mud.

what is the bolt pattern on your quad? I have my stock takeoffs from my 2004 Polaris 700EFI which have chrome wheels and the 25" carlisle badlands xtr's. I got the 27" Mudlites in place of the 25's. the tires are like brand new and have never been hurt or had a flat.

Not sure but thing the 500 and 700 have the same bolt pattern. I'll look into the matter and you may do the same. What do you want for the tires. Did you also replace the wheels. Really like to have new wheels as well.

Please advise. Wayne McCamey rwmcmi@aol.com

I did get new wheels so I would like to sell the stock wheels and tires. I think $350 is fair.
