paddling through the snow
#4
Can't compare a tire to a track, a track has way more footprint. Paddles could work well with enough speed, if you go to slow you will bury the back end. I run outlaws on my P650 and they act like paddles in the snow, they will dig hard and fast.

sand paddles may break off in snow. snow is much heavier than sand, and sand paddles are quite literally glued onto the tire. if you get the paddle masters, they are made to work in snow. they have super thick, stiff paddles. the only issue would be with ice, or super hardpack snow. they work fine on cement (we had to ride the quad onto the trailer) but they probably wouldn't do much on ice, besides, unless you have studs, your not going to go very far on ice anyway. if you are going to run something other than paddles, i'd reccoment a smaller size mud tire. get something that works well on hardpack too, but you definately want deep lugs. good luck!
