26" ITP 589s
#1
I ordered a set of 26" 589s today for my 04 foreman. 9's in the front an d12's in the back. I almost got the 27, but just wasnt sure about the clearance issure and the 11's in the back. Ive seen some like that and it looks like the fronts are sticking out more than the rears. Does anyone have pictures or can tell me how they like their 26" 589s. I guy says the rears run small. Is that true. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

I have 26" ITP 589's on my kawa 700 prairie and love them. They are great. The dealer told me that I could put on the biggest tires out there, but my friend who is a manager at a Discount tire store had a set of 26" ITP 589's sitting in his shop that a customer ordered, but never picked up. He sold them to me for 275 for all the 4 tires and that included mounting, and everything else.

I've got the 26" 589's on my '01 Foreman, and for the most part they are great. I can see what you mean about the 27's and clearance issues. The one complaint I have about the 589's and big tires in general, is that they blow on hard packed snow. Even in 4x4 it takes forever to get traction due to the deep lug pattern. Once you hit the deep stuff though, the tires go no problem even in 2x4.
Also you said you've got a Foreman too, if you run it in deep snow or mud, do you find that the bike seems to be hopeless as soon as the snow reaces the frame? I've gotten stuck many a times this way and it makes me wish I had a front locker!

lol,,, Well I put them on my Honda trx300fw, about 4 years ago. 25's on the front and 26'
on the rear. I have no problems with them except for a little power loss. 25's would have been
better for the rear I think.
