Default offset rims

I want to widen up my quad. I dont want to buy wheel spacers. I think im goin to get offset rims. will the axle and a arms be able to take the added strain of the offset rims?

will it be able to handle it? I dont really jump, just trails mainly. I also love hitting some whoops once in a while.

I run ITP Holeshot tires (wider than stock) on ITP rims (9X9 rear and 10X5 front) which have a greater offset and width (rear) than stock. The bike ends up +3" wider in rear, and +2" wider in front.

Cut the center out and reposition it like I did.Bought new tires and when I put them on they wouldn't clear.Had a grinder, welder, some pretty good help and saved some coin and it stopped the cuss'n.It is a lot more stable if that is what you are after.

One thing to think about with offset wheels on the front you will get more bump steer.
That is to say that when you hit something with one of your front tires it will have more leverage against your handlebars.

If you go with a 4/1 offset front be prepared to replace your bearings, not to mention leaving the discs vulnerable to rock strikes.

Rear offsets arent as dramatic.
