Aluminum Rims

Should I get aluminum rims for my Recon , are they stronger than the stock steel ones.

No, but they are much lighter. Depends on what you are doing with it..... Mainly more sporty riding, go aluminum. If you are bashing your wheels a lot, stick with the stockers.

its a good theory thought!!

.....less rolling resistance......

....weigh the steeles and the alloys.......see how big the diff is.....if its worth it.....look round for some second hand for the rear off any honda sports bike......they have the same stud pattern i think....
dunno about the front......go hard!

I have aluminum rims on my machine, they came as stock. Most aluminum rims are spun aluminum, mine are cast aluminum. Cast aluminum is very very strong and as others have said, much lighter. I have bashed the sides of them into rocks and have never bent the wheels. I have chipped small pcs off the sides, but they are so small it hasn't hurt them. I hit one time so hard I thought sure I bent them. I even took them off and brought them to the tool & die shop I work at and measured the twist on a surface plate with an indicator, no bends. That is the nice thing about cast aluminum, they will not bend.

which would be better for a sp500, itp magnium billet rims or .190 douglass. and are billet alunium stronger than regular alunium?
