HiPer Carbon Fiber wheels in the sand??
Has anybody ran these in the sand. I am looking to blow a lot of money and am tired of polishing my aluminum wheels all the time. I was wondering if HiPer Technology Carbon Fiber wheels will stay looking good after riding in the sand a lot. Do they get dull and sandblasted like aluminum or scratched up and weak to where they would break? Does anybody out there actually run these in the sand or know someone who does?? Thanks for any helpful comments!

They are not shiny to begin with so there is nothing to dull. Are they worth it? I think so, they are only a few dollars more that regular beadlocks.
One cool thing about them or any beadlock is that you could change the tires without any special tools. I don't know about you guys but this is a headache and sometimes ruins convensional rims.
The only problem with beadlocks in the sand, hiper or any other is when sand gets into the beadlock area and packs. This make your wheel/tire weight like 7 lbs more. But hiper sells a bealock cover to prevent this.

those beadlocks r pretty much indestructable. i've been researching them for a little while, trying to decide if i want to save the money to get them or not. I have yet to hear of anybody breaking them, and you can get plastic covers that prevent mud, sand, etc. from gettin into the wheel. sometimes i like to run my paddles with 1 psi or less, but i can't w/o beadlocks. they seam to be the best wheel u can buy, jus pricey.

y shouldn't he beleive what he sees or hears in the mags? a lot of times they can give u some good info, although it does tend to get mixed up with opinion from a particular rider, u jus have to be able to tell the dif. if a mag has a pic of a raptor, and says that its a 720 with +4 A-arms, and has the carbon wheels, u could tell jus by lookin at it if it's true or not, and the mag has no reason to lie about that type of stuff.
