Default ITP Mudlite Question

I have had my tires for over a year and have not seen any issues with the beads or any leakage whatsoever. I have the 26" on itp c series.

Default ITP Mudlite Question

I have 1000 KM. on my mud-lites now and they show barely detectable wear on the leading edges of the back lugs. No reduction of lug height yet. It is all gravel and rock logging roads and deactivated roads. I was concerned at first about stories of soft rubber and rapid wear but I have found these to be untrue. They wear just fine by my experience. No flats, no leaks. Thats just the way it is. I'll buy them again.

Default ITP Mudlite Question

I got about 200 miles on a set of Mud Lites and they have been great. I was also concerned about the soft tread but they so no sighns of wear. One flat(nail) but not the tires fault. I would look at the ATR's also if your running hard pack and rocks. Is it real rocks or gravel. If it's ROCK I have yet to see any tire that comes close to the ATR's abilty to mold itself around a hang on like there is no tomorrow, they just don't slip. Hope this helps

Default ITP Mudlite Question

What I have found is that the Mudlites do wear quicker for some people and it depends largely on the terrain and ride style. On occasion I ride with some people that live in areas where it is all rock, like sharp shale rock and the tires do wear quicker on those machines. Now my typical terrain is rocky and log strewn wooded trails and I am not noticeing the excellerated wear that my friends are from the sharp rocks. I also ride a fair amount of dirt roads.

If you are concerned about the wear issue an alternate tire is the Maxxis Mud Bug. It is practically as light as the Mud Lites and seem to wear better in the sharp rock areas that my friends ride. And if you want to stay with the 25" tire the lug depth of the 25" Mud Bug is the same as the larger tires.

Default ITP Mudlite Question

I ended up and went with the 26" Dirt Devil XT's. I love them....... They ride as smooth as the stock tires on hard surfaces and they perform very well on the trails both hard and loose. They have been very good (much better than stock) in mud. And my biggest compliment has to be the stiffer sidewal of the 6 ply tire. They have improved the handeling of my big cat 100%.
