Since I've never had to buy ATV tires before, I never understood what the numbers meant. For a tire such as 20x11x9, I understand that the 20 stands for 20 inch rim, but I'm not sure what the last 2 numbers mean. Is the middle number the width of the tire in inches? Is the last number the distance from the rim to the tire in inches? These are my best guesses but I'm not sure. Can anybody help??

 

The three numbers refer to height, width, & rim diameter, respectively.
