Are the Turf Tamer rears and the HoleShot Fronts a good combination for a Blaster for Desert riding

i don't know about desert but that's what i ride for mx. the turfs hold up well but i have about 8 plugs in each tire...

My friend uses him on his Mojave and they get good traction slide well but arnt puncture resistant.

I wouldn't advise Turf Tamers for desert. The are a 2 ply tire the last I heard and would not like the rocks or hard pack found here. A good tire for their intended purpose as already explained, but desert or xc isn't it
