I'm planning on getting new tires for the rear only. I live in Alaska and ride in various terrain, but mostly mountain trails with stream crossings and some major mud. Don't want anything like wholeshots, because they'd be worthless. Not having low range for mud, I'm looking for traction. I'm leaning toward the Sur Traks. I don't want anything too stiff either, such as blackwaters.

I have the Bearclaws on mine they are excellent mud and all around tire but they are stiff and give a little bit of a rough ride. You may want to look at the Maxxis Alltrak. Ride with a friend who has them on a Warrior they work very well and not to stiff. HTH

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at them.
