SUSPENSION - will I gain travel?
#1
I was wondering... Since I'm bottoming out on my '98 Mojave, I may get WORKS PERFORMANCE shocks. What exactly will this do? If it won't actually increase my travel, how will it help? How will it help my landings? I don't know how it can help so much, when you don't actually gain travel. Or is there a way to gain travel? I mean, it's not like you pick sizes on suspension.

I put works steelers on the front end of my Warrior. I understand this picks up an inch or so of travel. The difference isnt the numbers though. These shocks are smoother across rough terrain and absorb hits that would have sent me over the bars before. It's something you have to experience to really understand. I suggest you first try to adjust the shock preload on your stock rear shock this will allow it to resist bottoming much better. The fronts probably arent adjustable and the works would be your best bet there. They are set up to your specs. I would also suggest a steering stabilizer as these make landing off jumps much easier as well and allow much faster riding without beating yourself to death.

I had the sme problem with the stock shocks on my quadzilla i recently bought works ultra cross shocks w/reseviors. Now when i crave big air i do not bottom out and smash my air they cost over 100 bucks Now the landings are really soft i also have a steering stablizer and lonestar steering stem which inproves jump landings
