Default no tension on clutch lifter arm?

i removed my clutch cable the other day to clean it and this is now my problem: ever since i did that there is no tension on the lifter arm that goes into the transmission, i replaced the lifter arm spring with no results. for example i can pull the clutch in with my pinky, and it doesnt go back in place when u let go, the arm is not pulling back like it should and it also seems like it doesnt come as far forward as it used to. any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks,
kyle

Default no tension on clutch lifter arm?

is the cable hooked back up?

there will be slack once the clutch is engaged (the lever will feel loose)

hook the cable back up and pull the lever

you may have broken the little pin that pulls the clutch out

Default no tension on clutch lifter arm?

the pin Im talking about is located in the center of the pressure plate inside the clutch cover (it pulls the pressure plate off of the clutch plates)

you wouldnt be able to see if it is broken

sounds like this is your problem

the pin ur talking about comes out of the middle and its what the lifter arm pulls and pushes right? i have that, but it moves freely about 1/2 an inch, should there be pressure on it?
