I posted this over in the yamaha forum, just wanted to share with you guys. I screwed up a part installing my axle, and called up durablue to see what they can do about it, i talked to a guy named Jeremy, he was very helpful. I needed the inner hardware for the posi-lock on my axle, he was able to price me out one and get it shipped the same day, i called around 3:30pm. I know they have a bad rep for customer service, i was a bit hesitant on calling for that reason, but this guy was great.

Part of their bad rep. is due to their so-called "lifetime warranty".It doesn't exist if you read the whole warranty.

They have a full replacement of the first axle, and 175 dollars for every replacement after that. Honestly now, how many people do you know break one axle under normal riding conditions? Unless you wreck or come down so hard you break other parts you probably arent going to be busting any axles. If you happen to get a faulty one or have a bad wreck you are covered the first time around. Everyone whines about db and their replacement policy but how many people are honestly effected by it?

BTW, I too have found db's customer service to be rather helpful. Last time on the phone it was Tom and Chris and both of them were great help to me.

I'm not sure how many have been "EFFECTED" but I am sure there are those who have been "AFFECTED" by it................lol.I went with a diff. brand so I am not one of those. As far as their policy goes, why call it a lifetime warranty if it's not? Sounds to me like your paying for 2 axles initially and then $175 for each one there after.Seems to me that the only guarantee is that you'll keep paying........................... J.M.O.

Heaven forbid, I made a grammatical error.

That still doesnt address the fact that the vast majority of atv riders will never break a single axle, let alone 2. You are covered if you have a bad unit, get in a wreck, or just get unlucky. But not many people have that happen at all. How many axles of any brand have you broken? How about your friends? I've only had one of my friends break and axle, and it was a stock axle broken in a wreck from failing to land a big tabletop.

Now does the warranty include bent axles? I have seen a sh!tload of them, or is it just if they actually break?

And whether you break ten of them or not, if it isn't covered, it shouldn't say lifetime warranty.
