I need some sort of hydraulic rear brake for my Blaster. Does anyone know of any direct bolt-ons from other machines that will work. I really dont want to spend $350 for a Trenga kit. I have been told that their new generation 3 kit does not work. If anyone has an old generation 2 kit, I would be interested for the right price.

jblough - when i had my blaster i had a first gen. kit from trenga....or atleast i think it was a first gen. anyways in some of the literature with it they said that the caliper, master cyl. and reservoir were all off of a 350x. unfortunately the work of puting hydrolic brakes ona blaster is in the brakets and linkage for the master cyl.
perhaps if u found a junk 350X with rear brakes intact u could oder then neccisary parts from trenga to be able to use then.
dont know if ive actually helped u, but ive told u what i know about em

Guys

there is areally good article on how to fit up a hydraulic rear end on a blaster with plenty of photos etc. Check it out on :http://www.uslink.net/~philzie/bb2.html.

You won't be disappointed, it's a great article.

Check out my two pages on the subject: and <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/ms/blasterville/brakes.html">How I Built Hydraulic Brakes

In short, the newest genereration Trenga brakes don't work (see page for details), but it's not hard to make a custom rear brake that works well (again, see page).
