Where to get 4x4 rims & tires
#1
Where is a good place to get 12 x 8.5 and
12 x 7 ITP Chrome and Black rims? I can't find a place that sells the 8.5" anywhere. Also, where in the hell can you get 27" Bi/Tri Claws? I damn sure ain't gonna pay the Honda dealer $800 for them when I know good and well they sell for like $95 apiece.
Rims aren't much more than $50 apiece either.

They have really good deals on tires and rims. They are pushing the maxxis mudbugs pretty hard. They are out of Shreveport, LA. I think for Mountainburg, it is only two days for UPS. I live only about a hundred miles south of you on 71 and got my tires overnight.

If you read the 27" Triclaw article on ATV Connection (look in product review section) they have a link for MTA, which is supposed to be the cheapest from what other people have told me.
I don't think you can get a 8.5" wide ITP rim. I think you can get 8" wide in non-chrome or black, but the chrome/black only comes in 7" I think.

Hey Andy,
I think for the tires - Highlifter is about as good as any. I live in North AL. and got mine in 2 days (I got Vamps).
They have the 27x12x12 Tri-Claw for $89.90
They don't show the 27x9 bi-claw but I'm sure they have it. Should be around $70.
Shipping for all four tires for me was around $60. Beat the heck out of the local dealer.
As far as the rims - You can get 12 x 8.5 rims in Chrome and Black - Highlifter has them. The only thing is - they are a bit prouder of the rims than other places.
Example:
Highlifter ITP 12x7 Chrome and Black - $74
RockyMountain ATV for Same Rim - $49
The 12x8.5 is $74 as well.
But RockyMountain doesn't show a 12x8.5 - you might could ask.
Good luck and Happy Trails

Adam, I too wondered about the 8.5" so I checked ITP's website and verified it before I posted last night. They do make them, but I haven't seen anyone advertise them. It would make sense to have a wider wheel with 12" rears. Its not necessary, but would still be a hair better for stability. I don't imagine that I would have to lift the AC 500 any, but I wonder if I would have to have spacers. Doesn't seem so seeing that the rears have plenty of room and I'm already running 10.5" up front. If I didn't have to pay sales tax on a new pickup, then I'd get them this week, but it looks like this will be a new years purchase. I saw the Claws on a 450 es that didn't have any lift, and they were packed pretty tight with the fenders. I think I have a little more fender clearance that the honda though. Its pretty close to the same with stockers on both. Only difference is that my stockers are already 26" compared to the 25s on the 450. Damn, now I'm starting to want tires again. I should have stayed off the forum a while longer, it might have saved me some money!
