Default carb troubles...I think...

Last time I was out riding my 84 honda trx 200 bogged down ....gas started pouring out of the overflow under the carb...I checked the floats there not sticking or damaged...I also checked the needle valve too make sure nothing is obstructing it..that checked out ok also...what could be wrong with this thing too make gas come out the overflow under the carb? point me in the right direction

Remove and clean everything. I had a similar issue, there was a tiny grain of sand obstructing the float plunger. The plunger couldn't drop all the way so the float was sticking open.
